From the Principal

The foundation and primary school years in a child’s life are the start of an exciting journey of lifelong learning and growth. At Llandudno Primary we strive to make this journey a happy and successful one.

Throughout its magical small school history, Llandudno has followed its unique ethos and been known for years as the ‘best kept little secret’ on the Atlantic seaboard  – the small caring family school with a big giving heart.

From its early days, a small band of dedicated and committed staff have provided our pupils with a nurturing and caring environment in which to develop and grow into confident and compassionate young men and women equipped to make a positive impact on the world. We believe that each child is unique and that each child, whatever his or her aptitude or talents may be, should be guided to reach his or her full potential.

We have a proud tradition of academic excellence, fostering water sports, drama, the arts and community outreach. We offer a diverse extra mural curriculum providing opportunities for pupils to explore their interests and excel in all areas such as Science, Robotics, Eco awareness, Public Speaking, Music and the Arts. Each year, we are proud to see our Grade Seven pupils enter and then achieve very highly at some of the most prestigious high schools in the country.

We facilitate the ever demanding and fast changes of the world of work in the digital age through interactive teaching methods using digital devices and technology in all grades, teaching critical thinking and research skills, introductory small business and leadership skills.

I hope you will enjoy visiting our website to see what makes Llandudno Primary the school that has a special place in the hearts of so many pupils, present and past.
